Shapeshift into your Soul
What does that mean to You???
Shapeshifting has many dimensions; it is a psychological process, to be sure. Unless one's paradigm is left behind, there is no chance. The first task is to loosen oneself from ingrained, practiced beliefs, and the judgments one can so tenaciously hold on to. All is One...I use words to impact the reader...to inspire your ponderance.
Think about it...a model shapeshifts~a clown certainly does~any actor changes from self to another persona, even sometimes forgetting who they were to start! In more complicated ways, Shamans do.
The way I'd like to inspire here is about shapeshifting from fear into courage. It's a way to live that will bring greater health, abundance, efficiency and happiness.
Just as fear chases us, so also our ego chases spirit, vying for our attention. The ego must die, say spiritual traditions, for us to be reborn into our Wholeness. It is often said that we must die to be reborn...because we learn to believe that we are our personality; our talents, our beauty. Ancient traditions used burial or abandonment as ways to help the ego die and for the Warrior, Shaman, Acolyte, Priest or Priestess to be reborn in courage, faith in Nature and his/her own Intuition.
As well, we can see the ego as a horse...able to carry us into life. Ego creates Personality, and we need Personality to navigate through the world. So by distinguishing perhaps a 'higher,' or more balanced, and 'lower,' or more egoistic "EGO," we can choose to give ourselves the recognition and appreciation for our talents and gifts, and to honor our own carefully decided Boundaries...while fully recognizing and honoring that all others have the same. It is these which cause and allow us to Create, Intuit, hone our Skills, Invent...and practice Compassion and Kindness. There is a fine line of perception when a fully-rounded person is what we wish to cultivate of ourselves. Loving oneself is right and good, while feeling exclusive and superior is misguided.
Ancient and Indigenous peoples still today observe animals and their ways. Accepting that all life is intelligent and connected in a great web of interdependence and mutual benefit changes our Intention greatly. The feeling of isolation and dependence on technology, factories, supermarkets, malls and merchants has taken the human heart away from it's true pulse.
Pine Wolf Healer...(Me) a gift from "Stormy?"
I must remember and acknowledge her...so please do not copy this picture. It is a personal icon.
Wolf and Trees have had a direct shapeshifting affect on me. Much can be learned from the ways of the Wolf...they are social and have an intricate and respectful structure of cooperation. Animals are gifts to us; not to be dominated and desecrated, but as Teachers and Powers of Example. "There are two polarities that live inside us...feed the nurturing one with attention. Starve the ravenous, mad one by ignoring it." So our Ego, when utilized becomes a necessary tool.
Pine Wolf Healer became a part of me when I was shapeshifting out of the fear of basal carcinoma. I went to the Pine Trees and they responded, and gave me the name and Spirit Guide. I heard in my mind, "Pine Wolf Healer."
Trees not only shapeshift carbon emissions into precious Oxygen, but are medicine. Storm gave me White Pine...a powerful herb for wellness from colds, flus and the like. Many Pines of every species have been falling in the storms. Shamanically I see this as a sign of the neglect people have practiced toward natural healing. If you believe my words, put attention on a tree you know. I personally am a tree hugger and honor them any chance I get, and I refuse to feel embarrassed over it. Learn about trees and herbs. Put your attention on Nature.
"Energy flows where Attention goes." -- Huna Proverb
Moon...the great shapeshifter. She shows us phases, and if we are alert we can feel the vascilations and their energic affect on us. Certainly women are aware of changes as their "Moon Time" approaches.
Earth shows us changes in a slower fashion, in four quadrants, generally; though I find it much less defined than when I was a child. We actually used to put all our summer clothes away in autumn. In spring we put the winter woolies into moth balls and stored them away. Nowadays these times of Transition find our seasons unpredictable, lasting longer or shorter, or popping up in the middle of another! It is important to see that All Is Change...and that I/We can change...we must be the Change we want to see in the World. We are the world.
Chantal Gebhardt has given me permission to share this wonderful artpiece that she combined with her potent and thought-provoking poem. Aside from her poetic talent, Chantal is an artist making dreamcatchers in Australia, and is a self-employed makeup artist. Thanks so much, Chantal!
Have you experiences of your Soul 'tapping you on the shoulder?' Those moments when you feel something...drawing you...but you know not where...and much less, why? You feel the need to find it, though....The brief glimpses that tell you there is more...that YOU are more... Meditate on those moments! Meditate simply, and allow "God the Mind" be heard by your "culture"-polluted ears! Allow Goddess to reach through the veil and envelope you in her warmth and compassion. Hear them. Discover it is You that you have been waiting for!
The great Jean Houston is advocating Social Artistry and Social Alchemy. These are other words to describe Shamanistic Intention. She writes:
"The life of the social artis travels along a nine-fold path, in some ways similar to those of other traditions of world servers. The quest for inner understanding is as vital as the quest for outer manifestation. The turning of the path need not be linear; they could be happening one at a time, but also all at once. Those elements generate Social Alchemy:
One: Wake Up. Become aware of what works and what doesn't, in your life and in your world.
Two: Greetings, Earth Agent. Acknowledge that you are ready to put yourself into the big picture, and take on the role of planetary citizen.
Three: Get Clear. Discover and practice your essential gifts. What gives you meaning and purpose?
Four: Take a Stand. Make boldness a habit. Be willing to stand for your life and the earth.
Five: Explore Resources. Tap into the riches of your inner treasure house and learn to find useful associations in the outer world.
Six: Create a New Story. One that heals, sustains and enlivens your presence and action in the world.
Seven: Take Your Show on the Road. Join with allies, make plans, set projects in motion, projects that will change your world.
Eight: Burn Through, Not Out. Learn and practice techniques, skills and processes to help you keep on keeping on with a high heart.
Nine: Begin Again. Learn the joy of always being ready to spiral to the next level with renewed intention, clarity, and dynamic energy.
With Love to You Brilliant Minds and Gentle Spirits!
I'll be back.
